This has been an unusual year, to say the very least. I am now looking out my computer room window watching our adolescent moose visitor as he chews his cud in the back yard. The warm, gusty winds have melted so much snow that I can now see the top of our bar-b-que grill. The former deep snow in our drive is now a slab of ice covered with slush and impossible to walk on. John had an awful spill this morning as he was leaving to go to work.
Earlier this morning I had both dogs and all three cats sitting with me on the couch, (no, they are not supposed to ever be on the couch) as I watched the weather report. The six of us have all decided that this is a day to just stay inside.
The moose will remain outside, however. I really don't think he would like it inside with us. He seems very content out there, and I am glad that he has chosen to stop by this winter at the Garmire residence.
