Korean Culture, Up Close and Personal

Experiencing Korean Culture has never been more enjoyable than today!

Imagine getting to dress up in traditional Korean costumes

with 20 other teachers from all over the world!

Here I am with Mona, from

Anchorage, AK.

kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

I have been blogging about all kinds of events and expeditions that have been given to me every day. What an adventure. Korea is revealing itself to me in new and different ways. Today it was through yoga, calligraphy in Hangul, tea ceremony, and dressing in traditional clothing. I spent the early morning learning about modern and contemporary Korean Art. ( A subject that I am very interested in!) I listened to a lecture about the relationship of North and South Korea and a very interesting lecture about the current education system in Korea.

Now that is a heady day, don't you think?

For dinner my friend Mona and I went to a traditional porridge restaurant. That's right, porridge. We had squash and rice porridge with pine nuts. It was great. But for some reason, when we walked past the McDonalds, my friend had an urge for fries. (OK, I ordered a hot fudge sundae) But when we passed a Dunkin Donuts and she had to get a chocolate donut, I simply drew the line. No way will I eat a donut in Korea...(OK, I ordered an iced cappuchino!)

Amazing day, amazing culture, amazing people.

Tomorrow I will go to a high school and from there I will teach a lesson to a large group of students. I'll tell you all about it, so stay tuned to this blog!

Good night
