December 18, 2008 Lots of Snow

Betty, our little blue heeler dog, is feeling fairly bummed about the weather here in Coeur d' Alene today. Although I have a snow day and am home from school. It's pretty hard for our animals to get around.

This is a photo looking out of my front door. The snow is piled up on the railing in this beautiful serpentine shape.
This is the way it looks on our back deck. The snow is piled deep on two of the planters. I measured it an hour ago and it was 36" deep then. It has not stopped snowing so is probably an inch or two deeper now

Here is a photo of our snow plow.......we might need to get it plowed out so we can plow out the driveway!
Well, I have much to be grateful for. I don't like the snow very much, but it is beautiful and I am in a nice, warm house.
Merry Christmas
to All!

Below you can see John's new car garage that he built this summer. He builds things well, so I'm not worried about it caving in from the weight of the snow!

This morning I thought I might go out and shovel the snow away so I could drive in to town to do a little shopping. Ummmmm, nope. Not going to do that! I'll wait until John gets home and uses our big snowplow instead. This picture shows the front of my car and looking out of the garage toward the driveway.

Well, that's it for now. I'll keep my blog going throughout the storm. Now I need to go out and start shoveling snow off of the deck so the dogs can go outside and, well, you know....
(Don't eat yellow snow!)
